Tower strengthening is generally needed when:
- New antennas, dishes, or equipment will be added, increasing the load on the tower
- The tower is old and shows corrosion, deformation, or damage to members, connections, and bolts
- There are concerns about the tower's ability to withstand strong winds or earthquakes
- The tower has experienced special events such as storms, lightning strikes, or impacts
- Design or as-built drawings of the tower are unavailable or incomplete
- The owner or operator wants to ensure the safety of the tower, assets, and surrounding environment
Strengthening methods are selected according to the tower's condition, including:
- Adding or replacing tower members
- Adding bracing
- Strengthening connections and replacing bolts
- Strengthening the tower base plate and foundation
- Improving corrosion protection where necessary
Method selection considers technical effectiveness, ease of execution at height, cost, and the need to keep telecommunication services running during the work.

Scope of Work & Work Stages
- Tower Data CollectionWe collect the tower's technical data (type, height, location), design or as-built drawings, installed equipment, and plans for additional equipment. If drawings are unavailable, we carry out measurements and redraw the tower.
- Visual Inspection & Field MeasurementThe team inspects the condition of members, connections, bolts, the level of corrosion, as well as the condition of the foundation and the tower's surroundings.
- Supporting TestsAs needed, tests are performed such as a hardness test on the steel to estimate material grade, measurement of section dimensions and thickness, and a verticality test to check the tower's tilt.
- Structural Modeling & AnalysisField data is entered into a tower model using ETABS and SAP2000. Engineers analyze the tower under self-weight, equipment loads, wind loads, and seismic loads.
- Capacity EvaluationThe capacity of members, connections, and the foundation is compared with the acting forces to determine which parts are safe and which need strengthening.
- Strengthening DesignWhen required, we develop strengthening alternatives, select the best method, design the details, and then re-analyze the tower after strengthening to confirm that the required capacity is met.
- Drawings, Method Statement & Cost Estimate (RAB)We prepare strengthening shop drawings, the execution method and sequence, material specifications, and a cost estimate.
- Report Preparation & PresentationAll findings, analyses, and recommendations are documented in a report and explained to you.
