Rebar Scan is especially useful when as-built drawings are unavailable, when a mismatch between drawings and site conditions is suspected, or before coring and drilling work to avoid hitting reinforcement.

Scope of Work & Work Stages
- Test Point SelectionTogether with you, we determine which structural elements will be scanned (columns, beams, slabs, or walls) based on visual inspection results and analysis needs.
- Surface PreparationThe concrete surface is cleaned and the scanning area is marked with a grid.
- Equipment CalibrationThe rebar detector is prepared and calibrated before use.
- Rebar ScanningThe instrument is moved across the concrete surface to detect rebar position, rebar spacing, estimated diameter, and concrete cover thickness.
- Recording & DocumentationReadings are recorded for each test point, complete with photos and location markings.
- Analysis & ReportingThe data is compared against design drawings or applicable requirements, then compiled into a report.
What You Get
- Rebar position and spacing data at each test point
- Estimated rebar diameter
- Concrete cover thickness data
- Test point location plan and photo documentation
- Comparison with design or as-built drawings
- Conclusions and recommendations in the test report
